Using the Kanban Board

The Pipeline view provides a visual kanban board to see and manage all your leads at a glance. This guide covers how to use it effectively.

What is the Kanban Board?

A kanban board is a visual representation of your sales pipeline:

  • Columns - Each column represents a lead status
  • Cards - Each card represents a lead
  • Drag and drop - Move leads between columns to change status

Accessing the Pipeline

  1. Click "Pipeline" in the sidebar
  2. Opens the kanban board view
  3. See all leads organized by status

Board Layout

Status Columns

The board shows columns for each status:

  • New - Newly captured leads
  • Qualified - Leads who are interested
  • Planning - Actively planning trips
  • Quoted - Quotes sent, waiting for response
  • Following Up - Active conversations
  • Booked - Trips confirmed!
  • In Progress - Trips currently happening
  • Completed - Trips finished
  • Cancelled - Cancelled trips
  • Lost - Inactive leads

Lead Cards

Each lead appears as a card showing:

  • Lead name - Primary contact name
  • Destination - Desired destination (if set)
  • Budget - Budget range (if available)
  • Assignee - Team member assigned
  • Status badge - Current status
  • Last activity - When last updated

Drag and Drop

Moving Leads Between Columns

  1. Click and hold a lead card
  2. Drag to the target column
  3. Drop in the new column
  4. Status updates automatically

What Happens When You Move

  • Status changes - Lead status updates to match column
  • Timeline entry - Status change is logged
  • Visual feedback - Card animates into place
  • Instant update - No save button needed

Card Actions

Clicking a Card

Clicking on a lead card:

  • Opens the lead detail page
  • See full lead information
  • Manage tasks, communications, etc.

Card Menu

Right-click or use card menu for:

  • Edit lead
  • Change status (alternative to drag)
  • Assign to team member
  • Add task
  • View details

Filtering the Pipeline

By Status

  • Show/hide specific columns
  • Focus on particular stages
  • Customize your view

By Assignee

  • Filter to your leads only
  • See team member's leads
  • View unassigned leads
  • Search bar at top
